Conference Program Schedule

Welcome to the 8th consecutive event of the International Conference on Civil Engineering for Sustainable Development (ICCESD 2026) organized by the Department of Civil Engineering, Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), Khulna, Bangladesh. The 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th & 7th events of the ICCESD conference were held in 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020, 2022 and 2024 respectively, and received more than 200 delegates from all around the world in each event. ICCESD aims to provide a platform for exchanging ideas on latest advances in research and innovations, as well as state-of-the-art information in the fields of Civil Engineering among Academicians, Scientists, Researchers and Civil Engineering Practitioners.

The 8th International Conference on Civil Engineering for Sustainable Development 2026 (ICCESD 2026), organized by Department of Civil Engineering, Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), Khulna-9203, Bangladesh, will be held on 5-7 February 2026 by staging in hybrid mode: online and on-site at KUET Campus, Khulna, Bangladesh (if circumstances permit). The objective of the conference is to provide a platform for exchanging ideas on latest advances in sustainability, research and innovations, as well as state-of-the-art information in the fields of Civil Engineering among Academicians, Scientists, Researchers and Civil Engineering Practitioners in home and abroad. In addition, the conference also offers opportunities for academicians, government officials and industry experts to meet and interact with local and international participants and delegates.

On behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to invite interested researchers, academics and experts to send their valuable papers/ contributions to ICCESD 2026 and actively disseminate this announcement to potentially interested people/organizations.

The ICCESD 2026 conference focuses on a wide range of issues of Civil Engineering to enhance the knowledge-base, increase awareness, explore new ideas and thinking. Accepted articles will be published in two forms: the Abstract Proceedings will be published as hard-copy (printed books) and the full papers will be published as e-copy proceedings. Based on the merit (and authors preference), the accepted papers will be published in the following forms (among the presented papers in the conference):

• Selected articles will be published in Conference Proceedings (Indexed in SCOPUS, Web of Science and Scimago).
• Distinguished articles will be published in a special issue of the Journal of Engineering Science (JES) of KUET following a peer-review process.
• All Abstracts will be published as a printed book proceedings.
• Full papers will be available as post-conference e-proceedings in the conference website.

Submission Guidelines for ICCESD 2026

Full Paper Template:

Authors are invited to submit their original, unpublished papers electronically (MS Word format using the ICCESD conference template) through conference website. Paper submissions should be limited to a maximum of twelve (12) pages, in the ICCESD 1-column format including figures and references. All submissions will be reviewed double-blind by the Program Committee on the basis of technical quality, originality, and clarity of presentation. Submission

An abstract, within a maximum of 350 words, should be submitted electronically at the conference website (www.iccesd.com). The abstract should state briefly the purpose of the research, methodologies, the principal results, and major conclusions with a maximum of five (05) keywords. All contributing authors should be listed with their affiliations and email addresses and with the indication of the corresponding author with a complete postal address.
Submission Site

Full paper submissions should be limited to a maximum of twelve (12) pages, in the ICCESD 1-column format including figures and references. All submissions will be reviewed double-blind by the Program Committee on the basis of technical quality, originality, and clarity of presentation. Registration

---

Registration is mandatory, by paying the required amount of registration fees, within the specified deadline (15 January, 2026) to participate in the conference as well as to publish the executive summary and full paper in the conference proceedings. Current students/recent graduates need to submit a document issued by the Head/Chairman of the respective department on Official Letterhead as a Proof of Current Studentship/Graduation at the Registration/Reporting Desk during the Conference.

Notes

1. The registration fee in general covers participation in conference events, a kit (a bag including a book of abstracts, a pen, a pad, etc.), refreshments, lunch, and the banquet.
2. Each paper must be registered for presentation and publication.
3. The registration of the accompanying person covers refreshments, lunch, and the banquet. The conference kit is not included for this category.
4. Online participants who present their papers will receive the conference kit by mail/courier (within Bangladesh) after the four weeks of the conference, sent to the address provided during registration.

Registration Procedure:

1. Go to this ICCESD registration portal https://payment.kuet.ac.bd/iccesd/


2. Fill up the online particulars with necessary information.


3. Complete your payment with Internet Banking/ Cards (Debit/Credit/Visa/Master etc.)/ Mobile Banking (bKash, Rocket, Nagad etc.) through SSL Commerz Payment Gateway


4. After payment you will get email (check spam/junk folder if the mail not found in inbox) from registration portal.


5. Download the money receipt.


6. You are done !

Registration Notes

• Please register within the deadline (22 January, 2024). "Spot Registration" is NOT available.


• A single paper having multiple authors: at least one author should be registered as "Author" mentioning the paper ID to publish the paper and to attend the conference. The other co-author(s) shall also register to attend the conference.


• A single author having multiple papers: All papers should be registered as "Author" to publish the paper and to attend the conference.


• Someone doesn't have any paper: still he/she may attend the conference by paying the appropriate registration fees.

A Post-conference tour will be arranged (if circumstances favour) for the interested participants to the world's largest Mangrove forest (The Sundarbans).

Participants wishing to join the tour are requested to register at the conference registration booth during the conference period (5–7 February 2026).
